Challenges I Faced
Navigating AI Integration and Team Collaboration

One of the key challenges I faced was understanding how to craft efficient and precise prompts to elicit accurate responses from AI tools, especially in the early stages of defining our MVP. This required trial and iteration, as well as learning how to communicate design needs clearly through effective prompts.

Another significant challenge was aligning the team around a unified vision. With diverse ideas in play, it was crucial to prioritize features and focus on what would deliver the most value in the MVP.

  • Achieved strong team alignment through open collaboration and decision-making around priorities.

What is NomadAIc?

In an era where personalization and efficiency are highly valued, NomadAIc was conceived as an AI-powered travel advisor designed for Gen Z and millennials. This demographic, known for their love of experiences and digital-first mindset, often finds traditional travel planning stressful and time-consuming. NomadAIc aims to revolutionize the way this generation plans and experiences travel by offering an intuitive, automated, and reliable trip-planning platform.

Problem Statement
Simplifying the chaos of modern travel planning.

Travel planning is a cumbersome and often overwhelming process, especially for younger travelers. Key issues included:

  • Time-consuming research across multiple platforms.

  • Information overload with no clear way to validate trustworthiness.

  • Lack of personalized recommendations based on individual preferences.

  • Logistical complications, such as transportation options, scheduling, and navigating local customs or languages.

Traditional travel agencies or planning tools often fail to strike a balance between efficiency and flexibility, leading users to either feel rushed or frustrated with rigid group schedules.

Goal
What can we offer to the users?

The primary objective was to build an MVP travel platform that uses AI to streamline the travel planning process, tailored specifically for Gen Z and millennials. Our goals included:

  • Delivering personalized destination and activity recommendations.

  • Enabling automated itinerary creation that adapts to user preferences.

  • Providing real-time chatbot assistance to support users during the planning phase.

  • Offering seamless integration of flights, accommodations, and activities.

  • Building in language translation and review aggregation for increased trust and ease.

Ideation
Transforming insights into a user-first travel solution.

The team began with a strategy-setting session, identifying pain points through market research and user surveys. From there:

  • We held brainstorming workshops to explore potential features and user journeys.

  • Using insights from AI persona interviews and surveys, we identified a clear opportunity: a platform that supports user autonomy while removing the tedium of logistics.

  • The concept centered around blending AI efficiency with human reliability, enabling users to plan flexibly with smart guidance.

NomadAIc successfully addressed core travel planning pain points through a well-researched, user-centered design approach. The MVP allowed users to receive personalized trip suggestions, AI-supported planning, and trusted local guidance — all in one platform.

While future development will include features like real-time pricing and direct booking, the MVP proved the concept: AI can dramatically simplify and enhance the travel planning experience, especially when balanced with human trust and curated input.
